Endangered Resources License Plate

Protect Wisconsin's Natural Heritage

Show that you care about Wisconsin's natural resources by purchasing an Endangered Resources license plate for your vehicle. The new license plate portrays an endangered Wisconsin oak savanna and the plants and animals that depend on it, including the American badger, eastern meadowlark, tiger swallowtail butterfly, and prairie sunflower. When you buy a plate, your fee includes an annual $25 donation to the Endangered Resources Program that works to identify, protect and manage our rare and non-game species and the ecosystems that support them.

How to Apply

Get your Endangered Resources license plate today by visiting select Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) service centers or by visiting the DMV's Special Plates Unit website (see below) to obtain an application. Choose the colorful new badger design or the original timber wolf plate.
